I have been on Yaz since March. I get a little teary, but other than that I am fine. I have been getting my period during the non active pills (which is awesome! Funny to be excited about my period).

Ortho lo was pretty awesome when I was on it before I got pregnant with my son. My periods were very light, but weight gain.

Hopefully Yaz works good for you.

Best of luck!

The headaches lasted exactly 3ms for me. I remember going back to the doctor about 2 weeks before the 3ms was up freaking out and telling her I couldn't take it anymore. She told me to take a vitamin E supplement every day and to wait until my AF started and then let her know if the headaches went away. Amaxingly they were totally gone after AF arrived and have not come back since!

this is my second month on yaz. everything seemed to lessen, the acne, hair growth and pms wasn't so bad. the only thing i have noticed is that before (sorry TMI) my breast was a very hot button for dh to push, now it seems like i do not have any sensation in them and i can't stand it. but i am only suppose to be taking them for 3 months , so hopefully i will be off of it soon.

I've been on Yaz for about three months I think. When I first started taking it I used Provera to bring on AF and then started Yaz. I spotted the first month but after that it's been great. 3-4 day AF. I have no complaints besides some slight irritability (which I think is more my DBF than the Yaz ).

My twin started it a couple months before me and had full blown anxiety attacks that she swears was the Yaz. I guess it's different for everyone.

I just started Yaz on Sunday. I hope it works out for me....I've been feeling a little jittery & anxious. I hope this goes away.....another thing about BCP's i'm a little confused on the fact that some of us with PCOS have trouble TTC & they put us on BCP. Doesn't really make sense to me??

Just know that if you do get headaches, they will probably go away after the first pack or two. It seems to be one for the more common side-effects.

Is there a difference between Yaz and Yasmin? Or is it all marketing?

I loved yaz! I took it for 2-3 cycles. I loved lighter and shorter AF's nto to mention the cramps weren't there!
My hormone levels were so good I got preggy the first cycle back on clomid/HCG trigger shot/prometrium supps. That little miracle is in her bouncy seat right now.
I had headaches but nothing like they used to be. I had my tubes tied after my last c-section. My cycles came back on their own (I was nursing too-close to 3 months) and the cramps are sooo bad I may have to go back on BCP's just to lessen them. If I do then I am going back on Yaz, I didn't gain weight and I was overall a happier person.

There is a difference, but I'm not sure what it is. I heard that they were doing away with one of the bcp, but I haven't read anything about it since.

I just finished my second month of YAZ, and I love it. I've lost weight, my periods have not been painful, and my monthly moodiness has improved. At first I was paranoid and kept experiencing random leg pains (because that's where they said I'd experience pain if I developed clots) but after the paranoia was over, I felt fine. My skin has always been fairly clear most of the month, but YAZ kept my skin clearer longer.

By far the best thing about it has been the weight loss, and most of it has been stomach fat. I've lost 3 inches in the past two months. I feel like my body is finally working normally.

My initial symptoms were a bit of spotting, tiredness, random leg pains, and strange, intense dreams. These lasted about two weeks to a month.

I started my third month tonight. In the last two weeks I've been breaking out on my cheeks. They're small but I never used to break out. I would get one zit every three months at most and usually when I would get my AF. Now i have about 6 on my face and when i think one is going away another one pops up. I wondered if this could be the yaz or something else. I'm also on spiro.
