I'm not on Yaz, but when I switch to the white pill week, it usually takes me about 3 or 4 days to start (I take it the hormones need time to get out of your system). I would wait it out a couple more days and see if it comes.

I'm not sure. This is my first month on them too. I still have three more days of the hormones before I get to the white ones. I'll let you know what happens. I think mine is getting ready to come though because my breasts were really tender yesterday and today. My DH sees this as a good sign. LOL

It might take a couple of months to get regulated on them. I've been on it now for about seven months. I was almost exact for the first five months, now I usually don't start till I'm done with the white pills and back on the regular ones. (which is still a good sign since I use to only have two or three periods a year!)
My first month I started bleeding before I finished the active pills and bled for about 9 days heavy and steady. It was two or three days into the 2nd pack before I stopped bleeding. The next 3 months I didn't really bleed at all, just a little spotting. This month I am on the 4th day of inactive pills, and I am bleeding very lightly, more than spotting, but not enough to need anything but a pantiliner.
I just came here to see if anyone else had the same problem. I've completed 4 packs of Yaz and am about 10 days into the 5th pack. Still no AF! I thought for the first month or two that my body was adjusting, but now I am really starting to wonder. Don't get me wrong, I love not having AF, but I'm concerned about what it means.
I started with a new endo about 3 months ago and she wanted to do a lot of blood work. I can't recall the specifics but I think my estriol, LH and FSH were all really low, like menopausal. At first they wanted to do an MRI to check out my pituitary but after looking at my chart and realizing that I quit nursing my daughter in early January and was on Yaz, they decided the low levels were normal. I agreed at the time, but I think maybe I should call and see if I can't get the MRI. I've had zero sex drive, am constantly tired and lethargic and just haven't felt "right" for a while. I was blaming it on two young children, one of whom wasn't sleeping through the night, but I don't have that excuse anymore.
Looking forward to others insight into Yaz and lack of AF.

I take yaz and for the first three to four months my period came, but was whacky. I would generally start on the next to last white pill and contiue for two or three of my yellow pill days.
Give your body sometime to get used to. Don't freak out to much.
I just had a relapse of this where my period didn't come at all one month. DBF and I were freaking thinking I was preggo. Not preggo just a discrepency with the medicine.
Overall, though - It is worth it and has helped me enormously.
However if I miss a dose,it is like my brain can't function properly. Very odd and maybe I am the only one who experiences this but I am like psycho ***** from hell if I don't take it..and it is like my mind gets all fuzzy or something. Maybe I am the only one....

As long as you are on BCPs, I don't think it matters that you don't have a period. And Yaz is very low dose estrogen, so it thins the lining more than high dose estrogen pills, making it more likely your period will be light. Last month I waited seven days before I started the next package of active pills, and it didn't seem to make a difference (just spotting like I described above). I tried the same this month, and today on the 5th day of inactive pills (4th pack of Yaz), I am having a light but full flow along with mild cramps. I've read it can take as much as six months for your body to get used to a different kind of BCPs, so I wouldn't freak out. I didn't ask my doctor about the 7 days vs. 4 between active pills, but I'm not taking Yaz to prevent pregnancy, so it shouldn't matter. There are other pills that contain 20mcg estrogen and have 7 days of inactive pills, so I figured its not a big deal.
