Default Yaz and the Nonstop Period

Hi gals, I'm new.
I have some PCOS symptoms (face hair, somewhat irregular periods, acne), but by labwork shows 'normal' hormones/thyroid/insulin levels. My doc put me on Yaz to help with the hair and acne.

So anyway, I started the Yaz the first day of my period last Sunday. Well, I'm still bleeding today! I'm tired of being on my period! Anyone else have this long period the first pack of pills? The doc said to just "give it three months". I don't want to bleed for three months!

...talk about effective birth control. :p Non stop bleeding does indeed kill the mood.

Yes, I had the problem when I started Yaz the first time, I tried switching around to different bcp's, but with no avail. Yaz seemed to be the best pill for me. I started it again 2 months ago, and so far, it has been a dream.

Hang in there. It is a trial and error process!

Don't worry, it's likely it will only continue for a bit while you adjust to the hormone leves. It can happen more on the lower oestrogen pills too. Please do give it 3 months at least, and you could find it to be fantastic!! I know that constant bleeding is bad, I've had it before. Eat plenty of leafy green veg etc so you don't feel weak.

Good luck!
