I started taking YAZ about one month ago, and have had some issues. I feel like my mood swings have greatly improved already, but I have been having a lot of vaginal irritation. I just finished a course of Diflucan for what I thought was a yeast infection after the OTC treatment didn't work. I have felt fine until my husband and I had intercouse today and it burned like crazy the entire time. Afterwards, I looked to see what the problem was, and I am very red and irritated looking. I tried 1% Hydrocortisone cream with little relief. Has anyone else had this side effect from birth control? This is a first for me. Thanks for your help!
If you thought it was a yeast infection, maybe consider that sometimes BCPs increase the chance of yeast infections? This is stretching a bit but maybe that can also influence how severe they are?

This side effect is why I can't take BCP or provera. This got really severe for me and I couldn't even have intercoarse, so I had to go off of them. I hope you can find a way to resolve this quickly because it is painful!
