I had the same problem on Yaz I really couldnt handle it anymore and after 6 weeks I just stopped taking it. I was to the point where I was so upset about my skin I couldn't leave the house. I then tried loestrin and have been happy so far *knock on wood*
I can't really add any personal experiences with this, but while researching spironolactone (which I believe Yaz contains or at least a similar anti-androgen) I found an acne website (maybe it was acne.org??) where several women mentioned experiencing increased acne for the first few weeks that later resolved itself.
LittleBitIzzy- I've been on yasmin now for about 3 months. Have you had any problems with long periods or break thru bleeding? I seem to be having issues like that, but my OBGYN said I have to wait at least 4months before she will consider changing my BCP. It's very frustrating.
I haven't had a period yet...but today I had some bad cramping on my right side...but it didn't last too long. I haven't had any bleeding either. I'm on it for the estrogen, not the birth control.
I would demand that your doctor change it now. That's stupid that she wants to wait for four months--its your body. You have to be 100% comfortable with every drug that you take.
