Anyone have this problem? I started it three weeks ago (along with met & spiro) after taking provera to make my AF start. After the Provera my AF was 2 days and really light. I haven't had one for 6 months before this but when I did it goes for 6 days and is super heavy. I've been on Nuva Ring, the patch and everything else and have never spotted like this. I don't know if it's even spotting because I only notice it when I wipe (TMI) and it's older blood... I wonder is it'll stop after I have my next AF.... Anyways just thought I'd ask. No other side effects but it's pretty annoying.
Thanks girls!

Meds Spiro 100mg Met 500mg & increasing Yaz
“According to a recent survey, men say the first thing they notice about a woman is their eyes, and women say the first thing they notice about men is they're a bunch of liars”
I just started Yaz too. After being on Nuvaring for 3 years and I can't explain what is coming out of me. It looks like my mucous plug from when I went into labor. Mine is only when I wipe too. So anybody elses opinions would help too. I just thought maybe it was cleaning me out good. Who really know what goes on down there ;.)
I'm so happy I'm not the only one TMI WARNING: Is it rust colored and clotty? Mine is... I haven't ever had a kid so I'm happy to say I don't know what a mucous plug is
I don't know but it's just frickin annoying!

Mine's that way too, but I've always had that problem, before and after bleeding, my entire life, and I've only been on Yaz for a year (and I take 2 Yaz a day, and I skip the placebos; I have for one year, but I still have really heavy breakthrough bleeding for one week about every six weeks). So I don't know if it has anything to do with the Yaz? To me, this is a normal thing.

They put you on Yaz and spironolactone at the same time? Yaz has sprionolactone IN it!! I loved Yaz when I was on it and I am trying to get my doc to put me back on it in the AM. I did have an issue with it in March where I was bleeding even though I was taking it which was really odd because I had been on it almost a year with no problems. They put me on all kinds of different BC and then they settled with me using Nuva Ring and I can't take it .. I took it out today after a few months of using it.
It could be a give it time sorta thing but I am PRO Yaz. They may have to give you a higher dosage of it. Yaz is primarily low dose ( says my gyno) the bleeding may be a sign that you just might need a little bit more then what your actually getting.
I would ask why the yaz and spiro though since yaz has it in it, that I dont understand.
I know this is TMI but here goes... it is brown and looks snotty. More of it comes after a BM. Oh thats way to much info..... isn't it??
Not really lol actually I think the disgusting stuff is more common for us that have PCOS. I wouldnt really worry about it i used to have that happen to me all the time lol. Look at it this way.. a little brown goo is a lot better then gushing blood. lol Or atleast thats been my prescpetive on it
I am in my third month of taking Yaz and only this month have I begun to have the symptoms (almost all of them) that you guys are describing. I am going to hold off on switching pills right now to see how my body does this month. This is the first "hiccup" that I've had using Yaz.
