I finally found a dr. that goes by the new AACE TSH ranges. Wooohoooo!!

He gave me 30mg of Armour (I didn't even ask, he just gave it to me!!!). Do you think this is too low? According to the prescription info adults should be taking 90 - 180 mg.

maybe he's just getting me adjusted? I didn't even look at the mg when I got the Rx just took it in and saw that it was 30mg.

By the way... IT STINKS SOMETHING AWFUL!!!!!!

Metformin - 2500mg
Folic Acid - 400mg
Aspirin low-dose - 81mg
Medicated Cycles
1st/2nd Round Clomid 50/100mg 3-7 No O
3rd Round 150mg & added Soy 120mg 11-15 - O'd but AF
4th Round 150mg - Wish me luck!

You do usually start out at a low dose and work yourself up. What numbers does he want to optimise you at, have you asked?

When you got the RX, did you get Armour (with the A on it) or the generic? Please be aware that you need to stick with one formulation, generic or brand, because they vary in effectiveness, so to get optimised you have to stay on one or the other. Stupid insurance co. had the nerve to switch me to generic WHILE I WAS PREGGO?! uhm, ok...

Just wanted to say that i am so glad that you have found the right doctor and you are on your way to getting sorted.

I've also just found a good doctor and he has put me on thyroxine treatment for hypo. It's so good to find someone that actually listens to you isn't it.
