are you ttc?? There is a great dvd called yoga 4 fertility and I think it is a great workout even if you arn't ttc.

It is a nice workout....not too hard....but not easy. You can go at your own pace.

This is a style of yoga that was created by brenda strong (an actress) when she was having infertility problems.

it is all about getting your hormones in balance....and gosh...who doesn't need that!! Us pcos women need all of the hormone balancing we can get.

I got mine on ebay for like 9.99. I high reccomend this dvd even if you are not trying to get pg. It is great to know you are doing something good for your body and soul!

Check out this site: http://www.abc-of-yoga.com/yogabeginnersguide.asp

It has a wealth of information about the origins and types of yoga, tips to get started, just tons of info. Amanda's recommendation is great too. I haven't gotten that dvd, but am going to. I have Leslie Sansone's dvd "You Can do Yoga"...it's a good workout, very relaxing and easy to do. I got it because I really like her Walk Away the Pounds videos and I like the yoga one too. Good luck to you!

Leslie has another WATP called 'yoga walk' that is really good. You do a 15 min walk to get your muscles all warmed up, and then do 15 min of yoga.

I love yoga.

There's a great video called Yoga Conditioning for Weightloss. Even if you don't need to loose any weight it's really good. I think it's 50 minutes long.

I would recommend taking a few classes so that you can be sure you are doing the poses properly and getting the most benefit from the practice. Also, be aware of the many styles of Yoga. I personally find Viniyoga and Kripalu to be my favorite. They seem to be a more meditative and inward practice allowing you to focus on your specific needs. I have been doing yoga regularly for the past six months and think it has greatly reduced my stress level. I use the breathing and body awareness techniques whenever and wherever, even without the poses. My husband even likes Yoga!

I believe Madonna does Ashtanga Yoga which is more vigorous.

Sean Corn has a great vinyasa flow yoga DVD, it is very energizing. Just take it slow the first couple of times

I checked out a book from the library Yoga for Wimps. It was a pretty good basic book.

Good Luck!

I have a couple of DA yoga videos that are surprisingly good. I can't recall the name at the moment, but I'll check later and post. My all-time favorite yoga video (which isn't saying most - since I hate most of them) is by Karen Voight.
