Are you bad at taking your medication on time and everyday?
I am wondering how may other Cysters are out there like myself that do not take their medication properly - i.e. at the right time, proper dosage, do they ever skip a day like me just because of forgetfulness?
My medication regimen is supposed to look like this:
1. Wellbutrin XR 300 mgs per day;
2. Metformin 500 mgs x 3 a day for a total of 1,500 mgs per day;
3. Topirimate (for mood) 75 mgs with dinner;
5. Trazodone (as needed) 1 x per day at night if trouble sleeping;
6. Symbacort 2 puffs twice a day, spaced out 12 hours apart; and
7. Ventolin as needed.
Normally, I might skip one or two days accidentally but I had my tonsils out on January 14th and I haven't taken any pills other than the pain medication since it hurts so much to swallow pills.
I am kind of scared to re-start taking everything, but I was going to start on Monday because I am going back to work.
Do you think I should be worried?
Anyone else ever been in a similar predicament?

what i do when i have a new tablet to add, is set an alarm on my mobile phone each day for the time to take it. Until i automatically rememeber to take it
Sometimes I forget to take my Metformin only b/c I have to take it at work and sometimes it's so hectic that I don't realize the time has come and gone.

I'm pretty good about it during the week- at least during the day. Work gives me structure, and when I set up for the day I take out my mp3 player, my braces, my painkillers, and my pill box. It's right in front of me and I'm pretty good about taking it when I get there and after lunch.
*Outside* of work, otoh. I'm terrible. I forget all the time. Half the time I only remember my last met at bedtime, and when I wake up on weekends I always forget. I don't mind doubling up on the met (like, I slept in and haven't taken it yet, so I'll go do that now, and then have the next at the usual time in about two hours), but I often skip my antidepressant and that is *really* bad. I've started taking it at lunchtime instead of bedtime, because I forget about pills before bed sometimes, but I never forget the lunchtime ones. What I really need is a watch with a beeper like my grandmother had. *sigh* Old before my time...
I do forget to take certain meds.
I take 500mg met 1st thing every morning, and tranquillizer, my panic attacks remind me of that, forget the evening tranquillizer most of the time. I am on a diuretic also so take that every day, that's the thing I tend to forget. I'm very easily distracted, hence the nickname lol....
I'm horrible about taking pills. Right now the only thing I have scheduled is the Met and a study drug - and every once in a while I forget about that. If I have to take more than that I absolutely have to put reminders on my Treo alarm.

I saw this thread and remembered to take my medicine... I am horrible about remembering my Met. in the afternoons. I can usually do ok with my morning pills, but not my afternoon ones. Same thing with me about weekends...I get so off schedule.

In the mornings I do great. I keep my pills with my contacts - if I forget those I won't be able to see a thing, so keeping everything together works great. Evenings are not so good. Especially if I go out to dinner.

I'm usually about an hour off, but I always remember. My schedule is just so screwy that I can't always take my pills with my meals, sometimes I have to do it before or after, unless I want to carry them with me, which I don't.

I have been pretty good but I just started 6 days ago. I really don't think I will forget it granted I do forget everything..... I will let you know after I have been taking it for a while.

it's hard to coordinate medication, especially if there are some that you are doing 2-3x daily. i have a weird work schedule, so i wind up taking them at slightly different times each day. i found that getting several of those little weekly pill organizers and setting them up once weekly is a HUGE help. it takes less time out of my daily schedule and if i'm running late for work, i just grab the "morning" pill case and take the pills after i get there.
