Yesterday was my beta @ 18dpiui was 357!!! We will do a repeat beta tomorrow morning -- praying for doubling!!! My sono is scheduled for the 16th! I'm so hoping & praying for a healthy baby or babies. Whatever the good Lord blesses us with!
I don't feel 100% secure @ this point. With losing 2 @ 7wks & then my triplets lost @ 20wks.....I prolly won't feel 100% secure until I have my wee one in my arms!
at this point I just say "Grow baby, grow!" Just had to share with you all. Have a wonderful night!

I hope everything goes well. Jolin, Just today, I was looking at the Deseret Book catalog (online, was looking for the book that Laura Brotherson wrote) and saw Michael McLean's book with CD, "From God's Arms to my Arm's to Yours." Just thinking of the song as I saw the description of the book brought tears to my eyes. I took a peak at your blog, and seeing that you have been one of those so blessed to receive not only 1, but 4 children through adoption, it made me think of that song again. Good luck with TTC. Are you doing anything specific to TTC (besides the obvious)?

I'm on my first cycle of clomid and it is day 35 and I haven't had a positive yet. I haven't tested for 11 days now because my temp hasn't gone up yet. So I had bascially given up for this cycle until I had this feeling. So I went and checked a few hours later and I got a positive. The line was even darker than the control line which is a first for me. |

Those LH surges are so hard to detect unless you do the OPK EVERY day, at just the right time (I only had 1 +OPK on CD11, and then a -neg OPK just a few hours later, so I still don't know if that was a real +pos or not), so to get a +OPK out of the blue on CD35 makes it even more incredible. That is so neat that you received that prompting (and that you obeyed that prompting). I am sure that you an your DH are doing that you need to do. I hope you caught that egg. Jade, congrats on reaching the second trimester. I hope your m/s is gone now. Jules, can't wait to hear your beta results from today. Jolin, I still had your blog page loaded on my labtop while I was at work last night (graveyards), so I had to chance to read your blog, and look at your pics. Thanks for sharing. What a beautiful family you have. I felt the Spirit so strong as I read about your temple sealing to Gracie, and Gabriel. Congrats! All your pics are so nice, and I just love the pics of Gracie and her new doll, and the children in front of their temples. The one of Gabriel “pushing” the handcart is adorable. I think it is so wonderful that you are able to nurse Gabriel, even though he is adopted, and plus he was a premie. That must have been quite an accomplishment. Now I want to go on a Church history vacation to Nauvoo, and Winter Quarters. Too many places to go see, too little time. Maybe in a couple of years...
We need to go to Peru this year. My SIL recently reminded me that my FIL turns 90 this month, and we don't have time to ask for time off work, or even get or passports renewed in time to make it there for his birthday. My SIL wants to have a big party to celebrate, and invite all the family. I just wish we could be there to join the celebration, and to see/meet all the family gathered at the same time. What an opportunity to do genealogy, since most of DH's family are non-members, there is a LOT of work to do on his side.
Hum...... My DH turns 50 this year in Oct. We were hoping to go to Peru for Christmas, so the children can experience their dad's native Peruvian Christmas traditions, but now I am wondering if we should go in Oct. My SIL could help me plan a huge surprise B-day party for my DH, and then we would be able to invite everyone in the family (again), so we can see/meet everybody all at the same time. I have been wanting to do a surprise b-day party for him this year, wow, wouldn't it be even better if we did it in Peru? I could just tell him that it is just too expensive to go to Peru in Dec, and that we should go a little earlier, and he would never know what we were planning for him...
Plus, it would be a LOT less expensive to pay for a huge b-day party in Peru rathar than in the US (we always serve a dinner, party snacks, a huge cake, and even have music and dancing).
Plus, Oct will probably be better weather than Dec. Dec is the middle of the summer in Peru, and summer in Peru is HOT. What do you ladies think would be better? Go to Peru on Oct to do a surprise 50th b-day party for DH, or go in Dec to experience a traditional Peruvian Christmas?

Points: 973.01 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 973.01 | Jade Congrats on the pregnancy. Oh what I would give to experience another pregnancy or adoption. I really do not care how the kids come, adopted or birth, I am just passing the time (trying to get pregnant) until I know what Heavenly Father has in store for us. Thanks for the encouragement. My Husband wants to ttc and then wait a while until we adopt but I feel this push to bring the children home.
Cara- Oh yes that Cd is wonderful, I used to listen to it all the time. Yes I am not sure exactly how we got so blessed to adopt 4 kids but they are here still the same. Heavenly Father is amazing.
Thanks for reading the blog. The sealing was so special and busy all at the same time. DH says that he felt this transfer of Gracie at the sealing and after the sealing. He feels like she is his daughter now.
I got to nurse Gabriel because I had not stopped nursing Isaac yet. What a huge blessing it has been. You know with the pcos and the fuzzy thinking. I seriously have to think hard about which one is not adopted. Nursing Gabriel has brought us so close. The Lord truly blessed us. Before Gabriel came home I nursed him in the hospital then I could not see him for 3 days while he was in the foster home. That boy still nursed like a champ. A true miracle in so many ways.
What am I doing right now
Trying to walk 5 days a week for 3 miles. (usually get 4 days, 2 to 3 miles)
Eating a low GI diet (whole grains), trying to follow the word of wisdom.
I am eating no milk or diary products because of the hormones.
I am doing a liver cleanse, and suppressing ovulation (not that I ovulate anyway). I am doing the suppression with progesterone cream (Emerita) I am taking it on Day 5-26. I will do this for 3 months (1/4tsp 2x daily). Hopefully my ovaries will be rested and not have to work so hard to have an eggie push through the ovary.
Trying to say away from anything with hormones in it. Whew I have enough estrogen already.
I sprout wheat (yummers), and drink water like crazy (to detox).
Then there are the vitamins - Prenatal, b-6, chromium picolinate, saw palmetto, B complex, B-12 and zinc, 10 Alfalfa tablets with each meal to make my body alkaline. Metformin750mg 2x daily.
I have a preliminary appointment on May 6th so that I can get a referral to the RE.
I get IUI’s with clomid paid for but anything above that is out of pocket.
You will love it out in the midwest especially in Nauvoo. What a wonderful and fun place to visit. I agree with Jade, I would go in December and plan something very special for his birthday here or go over to peru and celebrate later with family. |

I am very confident we have at least 1 healthy baby in there! Praying a cerclage is the answer to stop PTL or PROM. We just don't want to have another loss. Not going down that road. I know Heavenly Father & His Precious Son, Jesus Christ are with me, wrapping their arms around me & my womb!!!! Love you all & thanks for the continued prayers!

My Mood: Points: 8,829.51 Bank: 747,889.88 Total Points: 756,719.40 | Hi sisters,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on our trip to Peru. I think you are right, it would be much more special to go to Peru at Christmas time. Does that mean that I will not be able to procrastinate doing all my shopping until Christmas Eve?
Hum, now to try to figure out how to get Santa to find us in Peru. I am not sure what Santa does for the kids in Peru, I better find out.
My DH claims that in Peru, CHristmas is 100% spiritual, only and Jesus, so maybe Santa doesn't even go to Peru to deliver presents. Maybe I will have to arrange for Santa to go in and fill our stockings at home, while we are gone. Jules, CONGRATS on the great beta. I am so happy for you. Did you already talk to your doc about getting a cerclage? When do they usually place those? Jolin, I am detoxing too, got out my mercury dental fillings 2 years ago, and now I am using liquid zeolites to get out the residual mercury that leaked out of those fiilings, and got stored in my body tissues.
I have been drinking green smoothies to get my body more alkaline, plus to provide my body with natural, raw nutrients. Taking alfalfa tabs would probably be easier, but at least with the green smoothies, I know exactly what is in it, and can be sure that it hasn't been heat processed. Plus, if I mix the green smoothie with some fruit juice, I can even get DH to drink some. He doesn't go for pills.
I thought about doing a liver cleanse, but the recipe I have is not real pleasant, and it's mainly to get out gall stones, so I think I won't torture myself unless I start having gall bladder problems.
How do you eat your sprouted wheat? Any special sprouting instructions? I got a bag of wheat from a friend (Y2K leftovers she didn't want anymore), and I really want to start using it while it is still good. I just hope it is sproutable. It would be a good idea to invest in a wheat grinder, and start making my own homemade bread, but sprouted is much more nutritious.

Points: 973.01 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 973.01 | Wheat Cara- I would love to get my Mercury fillings out, that is so neat that you did that. I will have to look into that liquid zeolites.
Here is a great video that teaches you how to sprout very inexpensively. You could do it tomorrow. Oh and they are very excited about teaching you about sprouts... just a bit of a warning
Honestly I eat sprouts on almost everything, at first it is a bit strange but after you get used to the idea of wheat having legs (sprouts) you can go full bore if you like. You wont believe it but here are just a few examples.
This is what breakfast looks like at our house, old fashioned rolled oats with wheat berries and or wheat sprouts topped with ground flaxseed, sesame seeds, and sunflower seeds. Yummers, the kids get mad if we miss any of those ingredients especially the wheat. As I am sprouting the wheat they go to the counter and eat it like it is a treat. The best sprouts are 3 day sprouts. On the first day they are hard, on the second day they are softer and have tails and legs, on the third they are soft and are SWEET, but the legs are longer. I would refrigerate them on day 3 because on day 4 they start to go bad on the counter, or at least the wheat berry gets so mushy that it does not taste good.
You can chop up the sprouts so the kids do not notice the legs so much and add them to spagetti, anything really. They are especially good in fruit salad. I eat them by the hand full when I am hungry, or when I have eaten a higher GI food, it helps slow that sugar absorbtion. I think it is a miracle food because you can eat it like a grain and a vegetable and it is so nutritious. Cant wait to try some other grains.
Ah I saw that liver cleanse too.. . Who that is harsh. I am still nursing so I can not do that harsh of one. I want a really gentle one. I do a modified version of this liver cleanse. Drink huge amounts of water. First thing in the morning drink two large cups of water, one of them with lemon juice (fresh) use the flax, sunflower seed and Almonds ground up. I cut out dairy and Meat or anything with hormones. You can do it for 3 weeks.
I am not so bloated and my mood is improved. I am loosing weight but refuse to weigh my self..... yet. |
