Are you taking Metformin for your type 2 diabetes?

If so, you may be interested to know a clinical research study is being conducted at locations across the United States to assess the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication in controlling blood sugar levels when taken in combination with Metformin*. This study is seeking individuals who are taking Metformin* for type 2 diabetes.

Eligible participants will meet the following criteria:
- Have type 2 diabetes
- Be between the ages of 18 and 80 years old
- Currently be taking Metformin for diabetes*

*Medications containing Metformin:

  • Fortamet
  • Glucophage
  • Glucophage XR
  • Glumetza
  • Riomet
  • Actoplus Met
  • Avandamet
  • Glucovance
  • Janumet
  • Metaglip


If you qualify and decide to participate, you will receive study-related medical care and study medication at no cost. Compensation for travel may also be provided.

I got to it too late, They are no longer accepting volunteers.
I have been on Metformin for two years and Glyburide for 7. I walk daily. I eat about the same types of food as a non-diabetic. I blame having to feed my family (boyfriend and nephew I raise) on not being able to follow the diabetic diet. I have not been responding to medication for some time. I keep getting higher doses prescribed at DR visits. I feel like giving up
