Question Your best Alternative Treatment

I am working towards a more natural approach for the treatment of my PCOS. Just curious what you feel is your best alternative treatment....What has worked for you?

I met with a naturopath a few months ago and she designed a program for me based on my needs. I have been taking the following since the end of July:
1) prenatal vitamin - once a day
2) Vitamin B complex - once a day
3) Fish oil - twice a day
4) Vitex - twice a day
5) Saw Palmetto - twice a day
6) Simplex F - three tablets twice a day
I had my first AF w/o drugs in only 6 wks after starting this and now almost 5 weeks later I feel AF on its way once again. I am looking forward to meeting with my naturopath again to update her on my progress.

I have been using NPC (natural progesterone cream) for a year. LOVE IT! My gyn makes his own. He was a pharmacist before. Not sure what vitex is.

Symplex F, according to my naturopath is only available through her, although I found a website where you can order it. It is not available in stores to my knowledge. It containes bovine ovary, pitutary and adrenal extracts. I think if you do a Google search and type in "Symplex F" you might be able to find it. It is made by a company by the name of Standard Process.

I thought accupuncture was mainly for pain-management. How long did it take to see results? Is it really expensive? Thanks!!

It is excellent for pain management. But is also excellent for getting your cycles back on track and a few of my friends have also concieved because of acupuncture helping them to ovulate.

Wow! Ok, I'll have to look into that, I even heard my insurance will cover part of it, so I'm pretty lucky. Thanks...

Btw, I know this is totally off-topic, but what are those cute little icons under your avatar and username? the little M&M's, and rainbows, etc, what are they and where did you get them?

They are gifts that you can give once you have enough points. You get points by posting to a thread and starting threads. There should be some detailed info about this over in either Newbie section or the Ask Kat section. If you have any more questions - don't hesitate to ask!

I donated some points to you!
