Default Your experiences with Retin-A/Tretinoin

Hi fellow cysters

I have yet another question about acne. Two years ago, I have tried retin-a for two months for mild hyperpigmentation. This was the time when I had...well, only a pms pimple per months. My derm suggested I applied the gel on my whole face, which I did...and started breaking out on my cheeks immediately. I continued for two months, hoping it would go away, but it didn't. Even today I'm still struggling with breakouts on my cheeks constantly.

So here comes the question: what are/were your experiences with tretinoin and should I try it again, would it make things even worse?

Thanks in advance
