Okay, after being on Met since March, I am now utterly confused.
Everything went perfectly right from the start - hardly any s/e to speak of, my energy level picked up, AF was back and regular,
I stopped craving carbs and started losing weight. I also started charting, but my temps were rather low and erratic. I added Synthroid to my mix, and the temps went up, and for the first time in - I don't know how long - I ovulated in July.
BUT my June cycle was 39 days long, too long even for me (used to be around 31 days and 29-30 on Met). I thought, well that one was just so long b/c I flew to the States, had a 13hr time difference and a bit of a stressful time.
Well, here I am, back again, this time on cycle day 33, 17dpo, and still no AF. I have been tired and nauseous, yes, I know what you're thinking , but it's not every day and not all the time.
If you know what's going on, if this has anything to do with Met or whatever it is - please enlighten me. Could Met be throwing me loop now, after this many months??? Why these long, long cycles all of a sudden? I'm so confused. Please help. If you need my FF chart, here's the link:
Sorry this is so long and confusing, but thanks for reading!

It cleared my brain fog, brought back af, helped me lose weight, made me o' again, and helped me get pregnant. I started in Januray. My first cycle I O'd on day 19 and had AF 14 days later ( 33 day cycle). I used to run every 2 weeks and then sometimes miss onths at a time so this was close to normal for me). Then I surged on CD 24 with no O and the cycle ran long. Next cycle... same thing.. last cycle was 62 days and showed I O'd on CD32 (dr agrees). So far, I am surging now. Question is is this the first surge or really O? I won't know w/o a P4 which I of course will get done.
Anyway... Met worked initially on its own.. then it stopped and needed help. I was going to ask my Dr if I could up the Met. I am losing my hair again and my face is starting to get greasy again and met stopped both of that before.
Hope this helps. any questions, just ask

I've mentioned on here before how whacky my AF's were my first year on Met. It seems ironic, since Met is supposed to help, but I started Met in Aug 2001, had a 28 and 32 day cyle then and in May (10 months later), I still had a 63 day cycle! Just when I thought I was regular, my body threw me for a loop again. I chalk it up to a body that has a hard time accepting change. AF can still be irregular for quite a while, even when we think we're home free.
Have you had any labwork done lately? It might help to see where things are at hormonally.
Good luck, Miss H! Hope it helps to encourage you.

Thank you ladies. I guess I just considered Met my miracle answer to everything since it had worked so well in literally all aspects. I will have to accept that maybe it's not. Oh well.
I never even thought about the Met maybe not working properly anymore, but I'm noticing a lot more hair coming out too and that really worries me. So maybe I should ask for labwork to be done to determine where I'm at in my journey and find out if I should go on a higher dosis.
Heike: Definetly have your labs done..they give a clearer picture than just symptoms alone.
For your info, My Dr told me that I wouldn't see any change in hair growth for at least 6 months after Met reduced my androgens to normal limits (which is just happening now after 2 years). The reason for this is, that growth doesn't slow until androgens are normal, and by the time you see a hair follicle, it is 6 months old.
Apparently, Spiro is a bigger benefit in the hair dept in most ladies, but since Spiro wreaked havoc with my periods, i have had to explore other options for my hair than Met.
