Default zyrtec

Are any of you taking this? And if you are, does it make you really, really sleepy? I have been taking it for my sinus but i find that even though i take it at night and sleep 8hrs, i am still extremely tired the following day? Anyone had this happen? I think i might have to ask for some thing else

I love Zyrtec. Didn't have any side effects except the first week. How long you been taking it?

I usually take zyrtec a few hours before bed. It seems to help me "get sleepy" at just the right time and I'm not drowsy in the morning. I know other allergy meds have made me drowsy all day. Maybe you should try another one.

I have been on Zyrtec for 9 months now and I love it!! I tried it once before and it made me sleepy so I switched back to Allegra. It eventually stopped working and so did Claritin so I went back to Zyrtec. The first 2 weeks I was pretty sleepy so I made sure I had plenty of caffeine during the day (I know...not the best). Once I got over the sleepy phase, I was ok. I love it and it is the only thing that works for me!

Zyrtec, Allegra and Benedryl all make me feel extremely tired until after lunch the next day.

I can't take any of those long-acting antihistamines, Zyrtec, Allegra, Claritin, etc. They make me sleepy all day long. I take Singular now and take Benadryl at night on really stuffy-nose nights. At least the Benadryl wears off in a few hours.

You might want to go with something like Flonase or Rhinocort depending on your symptoms. If it's just a drippy nose, they might help you w/o drowsiness.
