Guess My Gender

Hi Cysters,


We've just come back from our 12 week scan
& little Hercules (Or Herculette) put up quite a show
DH and I had a laugh when the rump shot yielded an interesting angle on the gender!

Maybe it's the umbilical chord... or maybe it's something else?
What do you lovely ladies think?
Do you think the stork is bringing us a girl? Or a boy?






Our Little Hercules, has been confirmed 100% boy at his 20 week ultrasound =)

I wish the sonographer got a shot of the side view, so we could see the little nub from a different angle

At that age its pretty hard to tell--because the babes are so tiny, when their labia develop they can look like scrotum from that angle because they're quite raised...I'm going with 50/50 on this one

Are you going to do an anatomy scan or find out at birth? You should post a poll! And include an "I don't know option".

At this point its hard to tell. But they say you can guesstimate based on the "angle of the dangle" lol. Based on the way the genitals appear to be angled I would guess a GIRL... Let me know once you find out for sure lol!

Yeah the more I look at it, the more I think what should be the sausage, is curving off - and is probably an umbilical chord lol. I'll probably change my mind tomorrow haha.

DH is set on finding out the gender, so I'll just go along with it. I know if he found out, I'd hassle him until he caved and told me hahaha. Thanks for the suggestion - have included a poll =)

Thanks for the link :3 I wish we had gotten a side view so we could see that dangle angle hehe. We've got eight weeks until our next scan, so we'll be able to see just how much that angle was from this scan lol

I think I see a girl! I must be looking at this wrong, because I can't believe it's a 12 week shot! It looks so obviously female to me.

That definitely looks like a boy and if you were 16+, I would say boy for sure. But since you are only 12 weeks I think it can go either way. Girls have what looks like boy parts at this gestational age too.

I am going to say unsure only because at 12wks they both still have "turtles" LOL! I just wanted to pop in and say congrats on the 12wks mark! I know getting to that point is a huge relief!!

Yep, it could definitely swing either way at this point. Really wish we could get the angle of that nub lol! So we could test out the nub theory =P

Haha I know what you mean! I was quite shocked at what we saw on the 12 week scan, I wasn't expecting to see as much detail as we did. Everything from the little legs, and toes, to the grabby fingers. It was amazing! Absolutely unexpected... let alone seeing down in between those little legs lol!

Haha! Turtles! That's cute =P Thank you very much dear, soooo happy to be at this stage! It felt like it was never going to happen, but after that BFP time just raced by, and thankfully here we are =)
